Why this site exists.

Most macro calculators hand you three numbers and no reasoning. Ask where the protein figure came from and you get a shrug, or a checkout page.

The Stat Method is the opposite trade: every tool shows its equation, every article cites its sources, and nothing is behind a signup. The calculators are open source — you can read exactly what they do before you trust what they say.

The math is free forever

Calculations run in your browser and cost us nothing per user, so they will never be paywalled. If we ever charge for anything, it will be for things that genuinely cost money to run — saving your history, syncing across devices, exporting your data. Never for a formula.

How it's funded

Ads below the fold on articles, a donation link, and occasional affiliate links on gear worth owning. Never more than two ad units on a page, never beside a results panel, and never on a calculator page. If a recommendation is paid, it says so inline.

What this isn't

Medical advice. Equations are fitted to population averages, so treat any output as a starting point and adjust from two to three weeks of your own data. If you have a medical condition, talk to a clinician who knows your history.
